Riley & Scott MKIII & IIIC Scrapbook
A special Thank You goes out to Rob Dyson, the man who encouraged Riley & Scott to build the MKIII in the first place. This turned out to be one of Rob's smartest investments!
And certainly one that everyone shared in enjoying!
Thank you Rob Dyson!
And a Heartfelt thank you goes out to Bill & Bob Riley for bringing all of their experience, knowledge, persistence and ability to the task of creating what became one of - if not the - greatest prototype race cars of all time. The R&S MKIII represents the best of sportscar design and development. And it certainly represented itself with distinction on the racetrack!
And a thank you to some of the people who got behind the wheel of a Riley & Scott MKIII and gave us all some fantastic racing memories!
Thanks to George Robinson, Jack Baldwin, James Weaver, Elliot Forbes-Robinson, Butch Leitzinger, Dorsey Schroeder, Jim Matthews, David Murry, Hurley Haywood, Jon Field, Tom Volk, Ross Bentley, Wayne Taylor, Irv Hoerr, Jim Pace, Mark SImo and on and on....
Be sure to read Russell Wittenberg's article on this wonderful automobile. You can see it here.

The success enjoyed by Dyson Racing was due in no small measure to the leadership and direction provided by this man,
K. Patrick "Pat" Smith.
Rob Dyson 'found' him many years ago, teaching a class in Auto Mechanics, and asked him to help with his racecars. The two have gone on together making sportscar racing history ever since!
